Today is going to be over 110 degrees and the air conditioning woke me up at 7 am.
My feet are loosing some of the puffiness from tripping the other day, yea!
Mom had to call the electric company to set up payments since our bill was nearly $300.00 last month, so when the knock came at the door I had to get it. One of mom’s nurses had called Adult Protection Services, and they came to inspect the house. The complaint was that the aisle ways were to narrow for the obese blind daughter to get from room to room and not stable for the old lady to get around without falling because she can’t use her walker. I put the dogs outside and told the young man to come in and look around.
Since I live in the living room, it’s the cleanest and least cluttered, well except for the boxes with my stuff for the pool project, which I explained and showed him the pictures of products on the boxes, I then showed him mom room, he moved 3 boxes that the nursing staff left for working on her drain pump (that being the only obstruction he found to block mom from the bathroom) he agreed that it’s cluttered but not too the extreme of the complaint.
He noticed that the refrigerator was nearly empty and said that he would be back with food and that he would close up the case file and take care of any further complaining from the nursing company.
So when he left I told mom that on the bright side, she no longer had to be paranoid that they would have her kicked out since she passed the inspection. (we rent )
I let the poor dogs back in to cool off. Saturday is our next cooler day 90’s maybe I could get the fencing done on the pool project. He asked if I would object to someone coming to help, but he has to get approval from the insurance company first.
So all in all things worked out, and I might get help with my project and around the house, I really hope that happens, I can imagine the water on my skin already. It’s that close to the finish line!
